Stafanie Taylor to captain West Indies at the World Cup

Stafanie Taylor will commander at the impending 50-over Women's World Cup in New Zealand, it was reported by Cricket West Indies as they named a 15-part crew for the marquee occasion. Taylor as of late missed the last ODI of the series against South Africa with a blackout with Anisa Mohammed filling in as commander. Mohammed, who will include in her fifth World Cup, stays the authoritatively assigned bad habit chief for the occasion. The crew highlights five first-time World Cuppers - Aaliyah Alleyne, Cherry Ann Fraser, Karishma Ramharack, Rashada Williams and Chinelle Henry - as well as the accomplished legspinner Afy Fletcher, who got back from her maternity break in South Africa. "The crew chosen shows a mix of youth and experience," selector Ann Browne-John said. "Afy Fletcher's return reinforces the bowling division as she keeps on being a-list legspinner. We have Anisa Mohammed who's playing in her fifth World Cup and will assist with directing the more youthful ones chose. We have five players who have had their lady Cricket World Cup choice. "The group just finished a series against South Africa where the players got great readiness before the Tournament. There were a few somewhat great appearances with a couple of players having remarkable exhibitions and it is normal that they would raise their levels significantly further during the opposition." West Indies World Cup squad:Stafanie Taylor (c), Anisa Mohammed, Aaliyah Alleyne, Shemaine Campbelle, Shamilia Connell, Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Cherry Ann Fraser, Chinelle Henry, Kycia Knight, Hayley Matthews, Chedean Nation, Karishma Ramharack, Shakera Selman, Rashada Williams
