Visa issues scupper Afghanistan's prep plans at the Under-19 World Cup

Afghanistan's warm-up games at the Under-19 World Cup have been dropped after visa issues deferred the group's appearance in the West Indies for the competition. The ICC uncovered, by means of a media discharge, that conversations endeavoring to determine the issue were progressing. "We have been cooperating with the Afghanistan Cricket Board and pertinent partners to attempt to track down a goal to the issue and permit the group to travel," ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley said. "Meanwhile, we have rescheduled the warm-up installations to guarantee the groups in the area can proceed with their planning in front of the beginning of the competition on 14 January." Afghanistan, who completed seventh in the 2020 release, were booked to play England at Warner Park today (January 10) and the UAE at St Paul's on Wednesday (January 12). Britain and UAE will currently go head to head at Conaree Cricket Center on January 11.
