That’s quite a rough stretch for Gujarat Titans — even though they’re top of the table, their overseas bench is really starting to thin out. Losing Glenn Phillips without him even getting a chance to bat or keep is unlucky, especially since his versatility would’ve been a real asset if injuries or form issues cropped up deeper into the season. And with Rabada still absent for personal reasons and Coetzee only just recovering, GT's overseas depth is looking pretty fragile. It’ll be interesting to see if the management finally pulls the trigger on replacements now, especially with two open slots and the mid-season player replacement window still active. If they go hunting, I wonder if they’ll look for: A power-hitting middle-order batter to directly replace the Phillips-type option. A frontline overseas pacer to cover Rabada and support their Indian pace attack, especially since Coetzee isn’t fully fit yet. There are a few free agents floating around — the likes of Martin Guptill, Rilee Rossouw, or even someone like Wayne Parnell (who offers the allrounder factor) could be interesting short-term solutions.
