Sydney Thunder sign Usman Qadir to bolster spin attack

Sydney Thunder have marked Pakistan legspinner Usman Qadir to reinforce their bowling assault for the BBL. He will essentially give cover to Tanveer Sangha who presently can't seem to play this season due a pressure crack of his back. Qadir is the fourth abroad player on Thunder's rundown close by Alex Solidness, Rilee Rossouw and Fazalhaq Farooqi with a group ready to handle three in a XI. Farooqi, the Afghanistan fast bowler, was a new marking after David Willey pulled out from his arrangement having been Thunder's platinum marking in the abroad player draft recently. Qadir, who has played 23 T20Is for Pakistan, has past BBL experience having played for Perth Scorchers and quite a while back had pronounced a desire to play for Australia prior to seeking after his worldwide vocation with Pakistan. His record for Scorchers was humble with six wickets in seven coordinates with an economy pace of 8.45. He was a hold player for Pakistan at the new T20 World Cup in Australia. "Usman gets us together with a lot of involvement, having addressed Pakistan, and playing in T20 associations all over the planet," Andrew Gilchrist, the head of Sydney Thunder, said. "Significantly, he has firsthand information on Australian circumstances, he played for Western Australia and South Australia's Fates Association, so he knows what's in store." Thunder start their BBL crusade on the first day of the season of the competition against Melbourne Stars in Canberra. Qadir's dad, Abdul, who kicked the bucket in 2019, was as of late accepted into the ICC Lobby of Acclaim. Sydney Thunder squad Ben Cutting, Ollie Davies, Brendan Doggett, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Matthew Gilkes, Chris Green, Alex Hales, Baxter Holt, Nathan McAndrew, Usman Qadir, Alex Ross, Rilee Rossouw, Daniel Sams, Jason Sangha, Tanveer Sangha, David Warner.
