Super Smash 2024-25 Men's and Women's starts from 26th December

Defending champions Auckland Aces will face 2021-22 and 2022-23 winners Northern Districts in the opening fixture of the men's Super Smash 2024-25 which begins on Boxing Day at Seddon Park in Hamilton. Earlier in the day, Northern Brave will take on Auckland Hearts at the same venue to kickstart the women's Super Smash. The safeguarding ladies' heroes Wellington Blast will start their chase after a 10th Really Crush title when they face Northern Courageous on New Year's Day in Hamilton. Last year's men's finalists Canterbury Rulers will start their mission on the second day of the opposition in Alexandra against Otago Volts while last season's ladies' finalists Focal Hinds will play their initial game against Otago Flashes on December 31. The competition, which will run from December 26 to February 2 will be played across ten settings in New Zealand and contain 64 games - 32 people's twofold headers. Without precedent for the joined history of the opposition, the last will be played at a pre-decided setting. The Bowl Save, in Wellington, will play host to both the people's disposal last on February 1 followed by the two finals on Sunday, February 2. "The Crush continues to fill in notoriety and it's truly energizing to see it keep on being so open to kiwis the nation over," NZC President Scott Weenink said. "It's a fabulous open door to grandstand our game to fans both new and old, while building the profiles of our homegrown groups and our rising stars. "It's quick turning out to be New Zealand's #1 summer homegrown rivalry, and with over 1.3 million kiwis tuning in on television alone last year, we desire to see it arrive at new levels this late spring." The competition will run pair with New Zealand men's white-ball series against Sri Lanka which includes T20Is and ODIs and will run from December to January 11. The New Zealand ladies' players are supposed to be important for the whole competition.
