Sri Lanka Cricket awards central contracts to 41 male players
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has handed out upgraded central contracts to a whopping 41 male players, up from 29 previously. Like in previous years, there are six categories - A1, A2, B2, C1, C2, and 'A' Team - with several performance-based clauses included.
Notwithstanding, SLC has declined to unveil the specific classes every one of the players has been opened in, with President Ashley de Silva telling Cricket, "We would rather not adversely influence player assurance by freely uncovering that data."
The extended agreement list implies new faces, for example, Shevon Daniel, Dushan Hemantha, Nuwanidu Fernando and Sahan Arachchige have all acquired arrangements notwithstanding their restricted game time with the public side.
Taking all things together, 18 new players have been welcomed ready, and six players dropped - most strikingly Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Danushka Gunathilaka, who have not shown up for the public group in north of a year.
