South Africa call-up Seshnie Naidu & Ayanda Hlubi for Women's T20 World Cup
South Africa have named 18-year-old uncapped legspinner Seshnie Naidu and 20-year-old seamer Ayanda Hlubi in a generally experienced 15-part crew for the T20 World Cup in the UAE. The two players were important for the debut Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup held in South Africa last year.
The crew will be captained by Laura Wolvaardt, and incorporates the experience of allrounder Marizanne Kapp, opener Tazmin Brits and seamer Ayabonga Khaka. Nadine de Klerk, who is presently recuperating from an Achilles' physical issue, is supposed to be completely fit for the competition. Having last played against India in July, South Africa will play three matches in Pakistan on the way to the UAE.
"Seshnie Naidu has shown huge development as a bowler inside our camps, and we consider her to be a X variable for the World Cup," du Preez said. "She carries an extraordinary component to our bowling assault, offering something else that could be critical."
At the forthcoming Scene Cup, they won't play any of those groups in the gathering stage. They are in Gathering B and will open their mission against West Indies in Dubai prior to playing Britain in Sharjah. They will then, at that point, return to Dubai to play Scotland and Bangladesh.
