Shakib wants World Cup-bound players to be rested for New Zealand ODIs

Shakib Al Hasan feels Bangladesh should rest their ODI World Cup-bound players during the home series against New Zealand later this month to ensure that they are "fit and healthy." The three-match ODI series begins on September 21 and concludes on 26 in Dhaka, with both teams set to travel to India the following day. Both New Zealand and Bangladesh have two warm-up matches each on September 29 and October 2, respectively. Shakib yielded that one reason to request this brief time of rest is a direct result of "heaps of movement" that the group would have during the competition in India. Bangladesh's home series against New Zealand could likewise be a chance to test their seat strength. They are yet to name the crew for the World Cup. "We will attempt a couple of things in the three ODIs against New Zealand," Shakib said. "In the event that we can get a couple of players from that point who can squeeze into the group [later], it will be better for the group. Everybody gets an opportunity [to play]. I for one accept that the people who played in the Asia Cup could be refreshed from the New Zealand series, particularly the individuals who are affirmed for the World Cup. "We can't bear the cost of wounds in that huge competition which includes practice matches and heaps of movement. We have very little seat strength. It is vital as far as we're concerned that players are fit and good for the World Cup. I believe every one of the four of our quick bowlers should stay fit, now that Ebadot [Hossain] is out." Bangladesh's rivals, New Zealand, have picked a second-string crew drove by Lockie Ferguson with Tom Latham among a gathering of senior players offered a reprieve before the World Cup. In the mean time, Shakib proposed that the inquiry concerning Mahmudullah's return was "superfluous" presently, in spite of the fact that BCB president Nazmul Hassan had expressed two times since May that he was in dispute. Mahmudullah has not played an ODI since Spring. "I couldn't say whether you referenced Riyad [Mahmudullah] bhai when he was absent from the last three series. Presently you are saying it (chuckles). I think it is exceptionally unessential. You have again posed some unacceptable inquiry. Towhid Hridoy supplanted Riyad bhai."
