Shadab Khan named captain for Afghanistan T20Is
Shadab Khan has been designated Pakistan's T20I commander for the impending three-match series against Afghanistan in Sharjah. Ordinary commander Babar Azam and other senior players in Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been refreshed "remembering their jobs and future series," the PCB said in a delivery.
"With one eye on the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 and different on guaranteeing the professions of their first class cricketers are stretched out by decisively dealing with their jobs, the Pakistan cricket selectors today named a new-look and profoundly gifted 15-player crew," the delivery further expressed.
The crisp looking crew sees four uncapped players in Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, Tayyab Tahir and Zaman Khan. Abdullah Shafique, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim have been reviewed. Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Mohammad Hasnain and Khushdil Shah have been dropped.
Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Naseem Shah and Shan Masood are the main players held from Pakistan's last T20I task.
Mohammad Yousuf has been selected the break head and batting mentor for the short series in Sharjah.
"Babar, Fakhar, Haris, Rizwan and Shaheen have been given breaks from the short Sharjah excursion to permit them to turn off from serious cricket so they can finish their restorations, refocus, recompose and re-energize their batteries and be completely fit for the difficulties in the extreme and testing 2023-24 season," expressed Seat of the choice board of trustees, Haroon Rashid.
