Rangana Herath joins Bangladesh team after 14-day quarantine

Bangladesh turn bowling expert Rangana Herath has finished his 14-day quarantine and has been permitted to join the group in front of the two Test series against New Zealand. Herath tried positive for COVID-19 subsequent to showing up in New Zealand while eight different individuals from the Test crew including players and care staff were approached to go through broadened quarantine as they were in close contact with a COVID-positive patient who was flying with them from Malaysia to New Zealand. ''MIQ (Managed Isolation and Quarantine) offices delivered me today and presently I am so glad to be back with the group. The Bangladesh group is at present in Tauranga for the last period of planning. Because of the quarantine, they couldn't play the two-day intra-crew match which was planned on December 22 and 23 yet they will play a two-day game against the New Zealand XI on December 28-29. The initial Test is booked to be played at the Bay Oval in Tauranga beginning on January 1 while the subsequent Test will be played from January 9 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
