Rain again disrupts, Day 3 of AFG vs NWZ test called off due to rain

Rain and the state of the outfield at Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground rendered the third day of the one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand a non-starter. Play was abandoned as early as 9.15 am. With no play conceivable on both of the initial two days, and the throw yet to occur, the possibilities of an outcome in the very first Test between these sides are thin. There was a deluge last night for around a few hours and another from around 7am on Wednesday morning, which was enough for the umpires Sharfuddoula and Kumar Dharmasena cancel the day preceding the booked beginning at 9.30 am. The word from the telecasters was that "the viewpoint is very dreary for now, yet possibly every one of the five days of the Test match". There has been examination over the decision of scene and its ability to recuperate from terrible climate, yet the Afghanistan Cricket Board cricket director Menhajuddin Raz conveyed a message on the third morning that "there is no attempt at finger pointing by any means from anybody, it's simply very misfortune." The past time the initial three days of a Test were deserted was in 2008, when Bangladesh facilitated New Zealand in Mirpur, and the last time at least three days were deserted in a Test was in 2016, when New Zealand played South Africa in Durban. This More prominent Noida Test could join seven others that were deserted without a ball being bowled - the remainder of which was in 1998. This is just Afghanistan's 10th match since they were given Test status in 2017. For New Zealand, the oddball Test denotes the beginning of their subcontinent undertaking which remembers two Tests for Sri Lanka followed by three in India. Dissimilar to those five apparatuses, this one isn't region of the planet Test Title.
