Malik, Zazai consign Karachi Kings to fourth defeat in four games

Karachi Kings surrendered to their fourth misfortune in four games this season, going down this chance to Peshawar Zalmi by 9 runs. Having the effect this time was the old pony Shoaib Malik, who hit a fantastic 52 not out off 28 balls under the gun to take Peshawar to 173/4 on a decent pitch for batting - a complete that demonstrated enough for his group to ricochet back after successive misfortunes. While Malik, who hit 5 fours and 2 sixes, gave the late push, it was Hazratullah Zazai's contentious shots that got Peshawar off to a flier. The group, put in to bat, scored upwards of 53 runs in the powerplay, losing Zazai just off the last ball off the obligatory six overs. Zazai tumbled to Umaid Asif, who was the pick of the bowlers for Karachi - bowling into the pitch - and wrapped up with 3 for 36 which remembered a six for the last finished and four ousts. His other two wickets came at vital points: Kamran Akmal in the tenth over and Ben Cutting off the principal chunk of the twentieth over. While pursuing a standard score, chief Babar Azam scored a consistent fifty yet with customary wickets falling at the opposite end, it was insufficient in amount or rhythm for Karachi. Babar ultimately got done with 90 not out off 63 balls yet the speed increase came when the game appeared to be clearly past his side. Malik had an effect with the ball as well, getting Sharjeel Khan for a first-ball duck in the opening over to place Karachi on the backfoot immediately. Mohammad Umar got Sahibzada Farhan out in the following over, lessening Karachi to 3 for 2 preceding Ian Cockbain and Babar added 74 runs for the third wicket. Usman Qadir's legbreak then had Cockbain gotten at cover - Malik in the demonstration again with his getting - placing the strain back on Karachi. With 63 runs required off the last five overs, Karachi actually had trust in Babar who was far beyond his fifty when, however Salman Irshad's tight seventeenth over prompted a twofold wicket eighteenth over, bowled by Mohammad Umar. With Aamer Yamin and Imad Wasim falling inside a space of three balls, it was too tall an undertaking for Karachi from subsequently notwithstanding a few late hits from Babar. Brief Scores: Peshawar Zalmi173/4 in 20 overs (Malik 52*, Zazai 41; Asif 3-36) beat Karachi Kings 164/6 in 20 overs (Babar 90*; Mohammad Umar 3-22) by 9 runs.
