KKR appoint Chandrakant Pandit as Head Coach

Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday (August 17) reported Chandrakant Pandit as their new lead trainer. Pandit, who turns 61 one month from now, replaces Brendon McCullum, who has taken up a similar situation with the England men's Test side. Acknowledging the new demand, Pandit said, "It's an amazing privilege and honor to be given this obligation. I have heard from players and other people who have been related with the Knight Riders, about the family culture, as well as the practice of accomplishment that has been made. I'm amped up for the nature of the care staff and the players who are essential for the set up and I am anticipating this open door with all lowliness and positive assumptions." Pandit, the previous India guardian player, was in charge last homegrown season when Madhya Pradesh came out on top for their lady Ranji Trophy championship. This was Pandit's 6th five star title generally speaking as mentor. Pandit played five Tests and 36 ODIs for India in his six-year global profession spreading over from 1986 to 1992. Post retirement, he took up training and under his tutelage both Mumbai (2003 and 2004) and Vidarbha (2018 and 2019) secured consecutive Ranji Trophy titles. Pandit's arrangement will rejoin him with Mumbai star Shreyas Iyer, who was named KKR chief after last year's uber mix. "We are extremely energized that Chandu is joining the Knight Riders family to lead us through the following period of our excursion," Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR said. "His profound obligation to what he does and his history of outcome in homegrown cricket, is there so that everybody might see. We are anticipating his organization with our captain Shreyas Iyer, which vows to be an intriguing one."
