That was a proper edge-of-the-seat finish — Karachi Kings sure made it harder than it needed to be, but held their nerve just in time! David Warner’s cool-headed 60 off 47 was the backbone of the chase, especially after the early top-order collapse, and Khushdil Shah’s composure in the final over was absolute gold. Hasan Ali showing all that experience under pressure too — turning what looked like a wobbly ending into a morale-boosting win. Luke Wood really did all he could for Zalmi, setting the tone with that fiery opening spell, but once Warner and Nabi found some rhythm, the momentum shifted sharply. That decision to hand Hussain Talat the final over must have stung Babar Azam, especially with just 9 needed — but once the specialists were used up, it was always going to be a gamble. All in all, a big win for Karachi — especially at home in their final match there this season. These kinds of tight chases can often kickstart a strong finish to a campaign! That’s a really nice summary of how the game swung! Karachi Kings were sharp right from the start with the ball — especially Mir Hamza, who had both Ayub’s wicket and Babar Azam in real trouble early. Those missed chances could’ve proved costly, but credit to Khushdil Shah for stepping up with the ball as well as the bat. That moment right after Kohler-Cadmore’s six — for Khushdil to bounce back and get the miscue on the very next delivery — felt like a real momentum clamp. And Babar’s unusually slow innings really highlighted just how tough the conditions were; that stat of 46 out of 67 by the halfway stage pretty much tells the story. Once Haris started pushing the rate and Alzarri Joseph gave a few finishing punches, it looked like Zalmi had scrambled to something defendable, but it always felt like they were about 15-20 runs light, especially after the controlled powerplay the Kings managed. All in all, a really balanced performance by Karachi — Khushdil the standout across both innings, Warner anchoring, and the bowling unit keeping Zalmi from ever fully breaking free. Karachi Kings 148 for 8 (Warner 60, Khushdil 23*, Wood 3-28) beat Peshawar Zalmi 147 for 8 (Babar 46, Khushdil 3-20, Afridi 3-30) by two wickets
