Evin Lewis returns to West Indies squad for T20 World Cup

West Indies have named Evin Lewis, the left-given opening hitter, in their 15-man crew for the impending 2022 Men's T20 World Cup. The crew likewise remembers two uncapped players for Yannic Cariah (right-arm leg-spinner allrounder) and Raymon Reifer (left-arm batting allrounder). There is, in any case, no spot for prepared T20 stars Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. Lewis, 30, last played for the West Indies in the T20 World Cup last year yet couldn't take care of business since because of wellness related reasons. Cariah, 30, plays for Trinidad and Tobago and Trinbago Knight Riders, and made his ODI debut a month ago. Then again, 31-year-old Reifer, who is the child of previous West Indies skipper Floyd Reifer, has proactively played Tests and ODIs for the West Indies, and made his global presentation way back in 2017. Nicholas Pooran drives the crew while Rovman Powell has been named his delegate. "We have chosen a combination of youth and experience to address the West Indies,' said Desmond Haynes, CWI's Lead Selector. "In the determination cycle, we have been perceptive of the continuous CPL and we have been taking a gander at the players who have been playing quite well. I said toward the start of my residency that I would be keen on offering players the chance and I assume I have been predictable in doing that. I accept it is an excellent group we have chosen, and a group will contend, considering that we need to qualify from Cycle 1 into the Super12s. "There are players who didn't make the group and I truly want to believe that they will keep on trying sincerely and perform to their best in the CPL and the forthcoming CG Joined Super50 Cup; since no one can really tell what can occur in the event of wounds or whatever other unanticipated circumstances where we could have to hit up players as substitutions." Double cross heroes West Indies will confront Scotland, Zimbabwe and Ireland in the initial round in Australia for a spot in the Super 12s. Squad: Nicholas Pooran (c), Rovman Powell (vc), Evin Lewis, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Odean Smith, Johnson Charles, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Raymon Reifer, Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph, Akeal Hosein, Sheldon Cottrell, Yannic Cariah
