BPL 2022 to kick off on January 21

The Bangladesh Cricket Board reported on Wednesday (December 22) that the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2022 will begin on 21 January. Cricbuzz had before announced that the BCB had settled the six groups. The six groups are - Barishal (Fortune Shoes Limited), Chattogram (Delta Sports Limited-Akhtar Group), Cumilla (Comilla Legends Limited), Dhaka (Rupa Fabrics Ltd and Marn Steel Ltd (Consortium), Khulna (Mind Tree Ltd), Sylhet (Pragoti Green Auto Rice Mills Ltd). Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet will be the host settings for the 36-match six-group occasion that will be played in twofold cooperative association design followed by three end-of-the-season games and a last. The last of the competition is planned to be hung on February 18. The Player Draft of BPL 2022 will be held at Radisson Blu Water Garden, Dhaka on December 27.
