BCB monitoring players' safety in PSL

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed Wednesday that it is in close contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to prioritize the safety of its players currently competing in the Pakistan Super League. Rishad Hossain, representing Lahore Qalandars, and Nahid Rana, playing for Peshawar Zalmi, are the two Bangladeshi cricketers active in the PSL 2025. In a formal statement, the BCB assured that it is working alongside the PCB and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to implement comprehensive security protocols for both athletes. As the five-match T20I series in Pakistan, scheduled to start on May 25, approaches, the BCB remains cautious. President Faruque Ahmed informed Cricbuzz that the board is monitoring the evolving circumstances before making any decisions about the tour. “We’re observing the current developments and will take a call in three to four days,” said Faruque. “Right now, our immediate focus is on the well-being of Rishad and Nahid, who are actively playing in the PSL.”
