Bangladesh's men's cricket team is set to embark on a preparatory tour of the (UAE) ahead of their scheduled series in Pakistan

Bangladesh Set for UAE Detour Before Pakistan Tour Bangladesh will play two T20 Internationals against the United Arab Emirates at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in May, as confirmed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday, May 2. The matches are scheduled for May 17 and 19, with both games set to begin at 7:00 PM local time. Following the UAE series, Bangladesh will head to Pakistan for a five-match T20I series. This will mark the second bilateral T20I series between Bangladesh and UAE in the last three years. The previous series was held in Dubai in September 2022, where Bangladesh emerged victorious in both matches. Subhan Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer of the ECB, welcomed the Bangladesh team's return, saying, "We are excited to host the Bangladesh Men's team for another bilateral T20I series. The Emirates Cricket Board is always keen on providing opportunities to the UAE's national side against quality opponents. In the last three years, we have hosted ICC Full Members such as New Zealand, West Indies, and Afghanistan. Bangladesh’s upcoming visit marks their second bilateral tour of the UAE in this period." He added, "The two-match series will provide an ideal preparation opportunity for UAE ahead of this year's ACC Men's T20 Asia Cup. We thank the Bangladesh Cricket Board for their support. The Sharjah Cricket Stadium is an excellent venue for T20 cricket, and we look forward to two exciting games." Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury echoed the sentiment, stating, "We are pleased to see the Bangladesh national team return to the UAE. This series will serve as an important part of our preparations ahead of a packed international calendar, including the upcoming Asia Cup. We value the initiative of the ECB and look forward to competitive cricket that also strengthens the ties between our boards." The UAE series will act as a crucial warm-up for Bangladesh, who face a demanding international schedule in the months ahead, including tours to Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and a home series against India.
