The 2023 Asia Cup will start off in Multan with Pakistan taking on Nepal on August 30, a day sooner than initially arranged by the Asian Cricket Chamber. The first-round Pakistan-India game will be played in Kandy on September 2, and assuming the two groups come to the Super 4s, the R Premadasa Arena in Colombo will be the host for that game. Lahore is the other setting in Pakistan that will have the matches. The last is planned for Colombo on September 17, with the arrangement of a save day. The first draft plan, ready by the PCB (the facilitating board), went through a few emphasess, basically due to the six-country competition being played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in view of the crossover model endorsed by the ACC as of late. According to the first draft, Pakistan were intended to have four matches in only one city. Nonetheless, Multan was added as the second scene after another PCB organization, under new administrator Zaka Ashraf, assumed control over this month. On the whole, 13 matches will be played in the competition across four scenes. Pakistan are gathered with India and Nepal in Gathering some time Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Gathering B. The best two groups from each gathering will fit the bill for the Super 4s with the main two groups in this stage progressing to the last. The Asia Cup, which will be played in the 50-overs design this time, is basically a planning run for five of the six groups - notwithstanding Nepal - for the ODI World Cup, which starts on October 5 in India. Bangladesh are opened to play Afghanistan on September 3 in Lahore followed by Sri Lanka versus Afghanistan at the Gaddafi Arena on September 5. Notwithstanding where they finish in the primary round, Pakistan will remain A1 and India A2, while Sri Lanka will be B1 and Bangladesh B2. In the event that Nepal and Afghanistan meet all requirements for the Super 4s, they will take the opening of the group took out (Pakistan or India in Gathering A, and Sri Lanka or Bangladesh in Gathering B). The main Super 4s match leaned to be played in Pakistan is on September 6 in Lahore, somewhere in the range of A1 and B2.
