Afghanistan to host South Africa for an ODI series in Sharjah

Afghanistan will have South Africa for a three-match ODI series in September, the sheets of the two groups affirmed through a joint media discharge on Wednesday (July 31). The three games, set to be played in Sharjah from September 18, will stamp the principal respective task between the two nations and act as tune-up to the following year's Heroes Prize. The Proteas have played Afghanistan just two times in ODIs, at the World Cups of 2019 and 2023. The two groups as of late conflicted in the elimination rounds of the new T20 World Cup in Trinidad. "These apparatuses were not at first piece of our FTP. In any case, in light of our useful dealings with our partners at Cricket South Africa, we reasoned that we will have the Proteas for an ODI series in September. They are a superb group, and we are enthusiastically anticipating facilitating them and playing them consistently later on," ACB Executive Mirwais Ashraf said. Ashraf's CSA partner Lawson Naidoo added: "We are eager to set out on this noteworthy ODI series with Afghanistan, who have turned into an exceptionally serious all-round group as proven by their new exhibitions in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 and most as of late at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. This is a critical achievement in our cricketing relations, and we anticipate a serious and engaging series." Afghanistan-South Africa Series Timetable: September 18: first ODI, Sharjah September 20: second ODI, Sharjah September 22: third ODI, Sharjah
