Afghanistan to host New Zealand in one-off Test in Noida

Afghanistan are set to have New Zealand in an oddball Test match this year in Noida, the Afghanistan Cricket Board affirmed on Saturday (July 27). This will be the very first Test match including these two groups. Afghanistan, who obtained Test status in 2017 and proceeded to play their most memorable game in the configuration in 2018, have played nine Tests up to this point. They have won three Tests in their short history, one each against Zimbabwe, Ireland and Bangladesh. New Zealand will show up in Noida on September 5 for a three-day molding camp in front of the Test match, booked to start on September 9. The ACB has proactively facilitated games in Noida following a concurrence with the BCCI. "We are happy to have a quality New Zealand Test group without precedent for our cricketing history," ACB Executive Mr. Mirwais Ashraf said. "This is a demonstration of the difficult work we have placed in through various conversations and gatherings with various sheets uninvolved of the different ICC Executive Gatherings. The Blackcaps are an exceptional all-design group in world cricket, and we desire to agree with New Zealand Cricket for white-ball reciprocal matches from here on out."
