Previous Pakistan captain Younis Khan will get back to the Afghanistan set-up as coach for the Bosses Prize 2025. Younis had worked with Afghanistan in 2022, at a 15-day instructional course in Abu Dhabi with an extended crew of 25. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said in a proclamation that Younis will join the group in Pakistan for a molding camp in front of the Bosses Prize, which is set to start on February 19 in Karachi, and remain with the group till the finish of the competition. This is the third worldwide competition in succession where the ACB has delegated a coach for the group from the host country: they had Ajay Jadeja as guide for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, and Dwayne Bravo as bowling expert for the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA. In the first of those, they completed 6th - with wins against Britain, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and a close bombshell of Australia - to seal programmed capability for the Bosses Prize. In the T20 World Cup, they made it the whole way to the semi-finals for their best-truly appearing in a worldwide competition. ACB CEO Naseeb Khan said of Younis' arrangement: "Since the Heroes Prize is being held in Pakistan, doling out a gifted and experienced player as tutor from the facilitating country was required. We previously had proficient involvement in facilitating nations' guides in ODI World Cup 2023 and T20I World Cup 2024. "Noticing the circumstances, thusly, we have named Younis Khan as tutor for our public group for the impending super occasion and wish him best of the karma in his pivotal task." Afghanistan are in Gathering B at the Heroes Prize, with Australia, Britain and South Africa. The competition is set to be essentially played in Pakistan, with just games including India to be held in Dubai. Younis, who resigned from worldwide cricket in 2017 with the experience of 118 Tests, 265 ODIs and 25 T20Is to his name, took to training from that point and was engaged with the Pakistan senior men's set-up as batting mentor in 2021, but momentarily because of contrasts with the PCB.
