Abhimanyu Easwaran will replace Ruturaj Gaikwad in India's squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, the BCCI confirmed on Saturday (December 23). Gaikwad, as reported by Cricket on Friday, was ruled out of the Tests after injuring his right ring finger during the second ODI recently. The opener went through sweeps and following a specialist discussion, it was chosen to send him to NCA for dealing with the injury. In the mean time, seamer Harshit Rana has been governed out of the four-day game against South Africa An in Benoni, that is set to start on December 26. Rana has been decided out of that experience subsequent to experiencing a hamstring injury and the selectors have likewise taken out Kuldeep Yadav from that crew. Sarfaraz Khan, Rinku Singh, Rajat Patidar and Avesh Khan have been added to that A crew.
