Rajasthan Royals are set to lock
horns with Chennai Super Kings in match number 48 of the 2021 Indian Premier
League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 2. Super
Kings on Friday defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to become the first team to
qualify for the playoffs.
With a net run rate of 1.002, the
Yellow Army is also expected to top the points table. However, they can let
their guard down a bit and rest some of their key players. On the other hand,
the Sanju Samson-led Royals are in dire straits as they are at the seventh
position in the table.
If they lose another game, it
will be extremely difficult for them to make it to the playoffs. In their
previous game, RR lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets. Beating
the Super Kings will not be easy by any means and Samson's men need to put
their best foot forward in the match.
